Frequently asked questions
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome and we will always see you if you are in pain. Booking ahead by phone or WhatsApp means far less waiting, so we recommend it where possible.
Is root canal treatment painful?
No. With proper anaesthesia the procedure feels much like having a filling. The pain people associate with root canals is the infection that brings them in, and the treatment is what ends it. Most straightforward cases are completed in a single sitting.
What does treatment cost?
Costs depend on the treatment and its complexity, so we examine first and then give you a written estimate before anything begins. You will know the full cost before agreeing to proceed. EMI options are available on major cards for larger treatments.
How do you keep instruments sterile?
Every instrument is autoclaved after each patient, and we use single-use disposables wherever possible. You are welcome to ask us about our sterilisation protocol at any time.
I'm nervous about visiting a dentist. What are my options?
Tell us when you book and we will set aside extra time. We use topical numbing gel before any injection, agree a stop signal with you beforehand, and go at whatever pace you need.
Do you treat children?
Yes, we see patients of all ages including first visits for toddlers. Family members can usually be booked back to back so you only make one trip.
